hi folks
its been a little while
been busy... what with thanksgiving and all
we had uber many more people at my aunts house... homeless/family-less freinds and mild aquaientinces
in progress
They are still displaced lives. There are still questions of pay. They are still workless thousands. There are still no defined future city plans, just obstinate conjecture. They are still grieving souls. There are places where power has yet to be restored. They are loosing hope and tradition. There are places where cleanup is a distant fantasy. They are moving out forever, leaving their ancestral seat. There are still incompetent and self-righteous powers controlling the situation. They are still finding bodies. There are speculatively hundreds (or thousands) that have been literary washed away, into the warm waters of our Gulf, never to be seen again.
And they are being forgotten.
It has been months since Katrina; it has felt like years, too many. Sorrow-stricken and lost, Louisiana now wanders as if in a never-ending gray dream, stumbling and surviving. Just barely finding a stitch of hope to hold on to in the wake of loosing its crowning Gem. Such is the way of so rich a state where corrupt glory has so often reigned. Desperately attempting to rise from the ashes as some redeeming phoenix, the people of the state have fallen.

With the holidays coming, the effects of the storm are claiming more lives.
Hopelessness and depression are reaching an all-time high, and the suicides have begun.
Even more, proof is coming to light that most everything tragic in the past hundred years of this country's history is a lie, and was caused purposely.
My sister told me about the students who are supposed to be leaving SJA and going home or something, but I don't know what they think they're going to do. Most places are still uninhabitable--70% or more.
Over ten thousand have died, but the death toll has been covered up and body searches ceased to allow the bodies to decompose and disappear.
Still, people support the president and his lying, cheating, stealing, murdering government.
An interesting bit of info has been processed, and it seems that even things like Pearl Harbor in 1941 was a set-up:
Through a long chain of events, the US taunted Japan into attacking, and on learning of the possible attack, ignored the information. Because of all of the treaties/pacts in which they pledged to help each other against the US, it was an excuse to get dragged into the war.
Also, some other things:
9/11
The government blew up the "Twin Towers" and Pentagon, and created fake identites for the hijackers based on stolen identities in cases where they thought the real owners would never be found. Finally, they used it as an excuse to go to war using fabricated propaganda.
Too many mysterious and un-explainable things happened surrounding the 9/11 stuff. It's hard to believe anything they've said about it.
The elections:
There's proof that Bush has won neither of the elections. Through Jeb Bush in Florida, they rigged the 2000 election. Through connections with DieBold, the company that makes the electronic voting machines, they rigged the 2004 election.
Oh, the Iraqi election was rigged, too. Duh.
There are tons of things they did during/after the hurricane, too:
- An navy ship mysteriously turned up in the Gulf right after the storm which jammed communications. Also, they had to set guards around the offices in Jefferson Parish because the communication lines were CUT (not broken in the storm, but cut).
- They ignored Blanco's request for help before the storm, then said she hadn't requested help afterward.
- The hospital ships that were supposed to be coming to help didn't arrive until several days later. We can set up a base camp around the world in a day or two, but not in our own country.
- FEMA still hasn't arrived in some places, and probably never will.
- The death toll tops 10,000, and people are still missing.
- The media portrays Louisiana as back to normal, but it's not. New Orleans is maybe 10-20% liveable, and most other places are still far from normal.
- Finally, even though it's mostly unrelated to the people who need help and aren't getting it, many people who weren't even affected are cheating the system.
I haven't been proud to be an American in about six or seven years.
Education is going down as intended (see: No Child Left Behind Act), and people are no longer competent enough to understand or realize what's really going on.
The situation would seem hopeless...
I love you. <3

I'm also still baffled by the empty "if" statement in the middle of the post.
